Plate 1 proof in green gold.
This printing of plate 1 in dark green gold. The ink is rolled using a brayer and printed by hand. In this proof, the darker ink provided a good contrast to white Japanese mulberry paper. The block was cut using a variety of awls and punches. With these tools I was able to create several unique patterns to accentuate the lights and dark areas.
