Another disembodied head of the artist stuck in the proverbial "rat race." Comforts and pleasures come at the expense of working in mundane and menial jobs that constrict creativity and soul represented here by a rat's exercise wheel. The disembodied head may be the artist's way of compartmentalizing his different roles to achieve a precarious peace.
